An energy audit may be carried out on buildings, processes, or systems and it is a three-step process which involves preparation, a site visit and reporting. The audit report that compiles the findings will help you to understand:
Certified Energy Audit
- How much energy your business uses, versus benchmark equivalents
- The equipment and processes that use the most energy
- What actions you should take to save energy, and their estimated cost and impact
Certified Energy Auditors
Our Certified Energy Auditors can carry out a business wide energy assessment to benchmark your organisation and provide the measurement tools for change and improvement.
Energy Audit Obligated Parties
Audits are conducted to the ISO 50002:2014 Standard and comply with Ireland’s S1-426 & European Energy Directive legislation. Under SI-426 Non-SME’s and Public bodies with individual buildings with a total useful floor area of more than 500m2 or an annual energy spend of more than €35,000 are required to carry out energy audits every 4 years.
An energy audit is an important step for businesses that want to save money, save energy, and enhance their brand. Many clients decide to carry out an Energy Audit, even if they are not obligated to do so – as the audit provides an in-depth baseline model, benchmarking and recommendations with details of return on investment.
